Dr. Edward C. White is a board-certified Urologist. He has over 45 years in the study and practice of Urology.

Dr. White was recruited as Academic Faculty to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Division of Urology. Dr. White served as Acting Chief, Division of Urology, at Rutger’s Medical School as well as Chief of Urology at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. 

Dr. White has a special interest in Urologic Oncology including the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and testis cancer. He employs both white light and blue light cystoscopy which offers enhanced visualization of bladder cancer in the diagnosis and treatment of bladder cancer. All prostate biopsies are performed transperineally with the Koelis Trinity 3D MRI/ultrasound fusion prostate biopsy system, the latest evolution in prostate biopsy technology.

He was instrumental in founding the New Jersey Kidney Stone Treatment Center. He was the first Medical Director of the New Jersey Kidney Stone Treatment Center. He personally performed over 1250 extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsies (ESWL). He has performed numerous minimally invasive percutaneous ultrasonic lithotripsy of large renal calculi, as well as laser lithotripsy of ureteral, bladder and kidney calculi.

In addition, Dr. White practices all aspects of General Urology. This includes the medical and surgical management of enlarged prostate, urinary retention, incontinence, infections, erectile dysfunction, and infertility.

Dr. White believes in empowering his patients by imparting his acquired medical knowledge to his patients in a respectful,collaborative environment so that they can more fully understand their urologic issues and the options available for those conditions.
